What I DID NOT eat Wednesday :)

Fiscal year end equals bad eating habits! Man it floors me! This may not make sense to some, but technically the end of our fiscal year is Sunday, but that is Easter and despite my departments wants , they are letting us off on Sunday. So, Friday/Saturday is the main crunch time! Now, I know this ENTIRE week will be treated as Year end panic , basically its all week . "oh the world of Finance". Now, if lets say Wednesday was the 31st, only Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday would be treated as Year end... Does that make any sense... Well I knew that and was really really really good with the temptations Monday and Tuesday but today....... OMG my director brought in my favorite homemade seasoned pretzels and I had some! Well, he really only brings them in once a year, so I dove right in! I don't regret it, I have even tried to make them at home myself  one time and they were just not the same... I was bad again and I had like three dark chocolate covered pretzels .. OMG but if you knew what I turned down you would be proud!

Breakfast Vegan Shakeology Yum

Snack the all ready mentioned one of a kind Seasoned Pretzels

Lunch I stood at our Cube to 5K table at lunch, so I had my husbands Whole Wheat Bread with a Diced up Hard Boiled eggs.. Not the best/ Not the worst but good news we got way more than we expected on the Cube to 5K!!!!

Afternoon Snack the three dark chocolate pretzels. I also had some fresh Strawberries and Pineapple

Work out was again right after work and was Pump and Shred! Boy do I love that work out! When that work out is on my mind, its all I can thing about! Pump and Shred is a nice five minute warm up that hits each part of your body that will be worked. Then the First track is a 5 minute long Squat Track. Next is a 5 minute chest track #dirtychest, that ends with 16 push ups. My chest is on FIRE by the time its done! They then do the Clean and Press, Deadlift Row track followed by a track of lunges. My favorite is the shoulder track lead by Gerico.... and I can't even tell you how much  her reps KILL ME! They end it with a 5 minute ab and core track "at the car wash" lol. I really focused on the stretch track at the end so I don't end up hurting my back again!

Dinner because of the junk I ate today, I was craving more junk and had a craving that I could not control for pizza. I was on my own for dinner because Matthew was taking out my beautiful step daughter for her birthday, So I took a whole wheat english muffin and toasted it. I put some no sugar added marinara sauce, sliced up a red onion and added some part skim Mozzeralla, threw it in the oven on broil for a few minutes and what do you know I had a way more healthy option for pizza...

Now here is a list of things I turned down today, Malt Balls, Pop Corn, Chocolate covered chips, Chocolate fondue, marshmallows  Philly Soft Preset  Cupcakes, Every chip on the planet, Carrot Cake, Every dip, bread and cracker known to man kind, Salsa, Mac and Cheese, Every kind of cookie they make, pie, cinnamon rolls, pizza, Soda, and this could go on and on and on... So all in all, I did okay today and I will not eat that junk tomorrow and I will NOT eat that Friday and for sure will not eat that crap on Saturday, Just think some of my co workers have been eating like this since Monday. Imagine how shitty they are going to feel by Saturday. Breaks my heart really!

What I ate for Real and Day one of 13.1 training

There was sunshine out there today and I needed it on my skin! Oh boy, lets say it together... Good Bye, Mr. Winter! I usually don't mind the winter, but I normally give up running when the weather gets cold and do mostly Insanity or some other form of cardio inside! But this year I did things differently to help run with my sister in law and do her first 5k in February. I am very proud of her for running her first 5k with Snow on the Ground, I mean how bad ass it that! Tomorrow I am going to be signing up people at work for our Cube to 5K program to help and I hope to see people join! I love that moment when people find their groove and realize they can run and better yet they like it!

Now on to the food!

Breakfast---- LOL Vegan Shakeology (everyday! my favorite meal of the day!)

AM Snack- I had greek yogurt with my home made Apple Spice Granola Soooo so so good!

Lunch- Well I needed to get out of the building today because of some upsetting lay offs at work. So my husband and I went home for lunch and I had my homemade Spicy Vegetarian Soup.

Afternoon Snack- A Delicious red apple with a handful of Almonds (can you tell I love apples by now?!)

Work out was right after work and I had to get out there and run! I started day 1 of my 13 week half marathon training! It was a simple 2 mile run but boy did it feel great to run without cold, bitter wind! I immediataly came in and did about 15 minutes of yoga! Again awesome!

Push ups Well I only did 29 tonight, but my head is pounding and it was like pounding with the pressure. Oh well I will do 44 tomorrow!

Dinner (was amazing) I cooked some diced onions in some olive oil and garlic then I added pineapple, Quorn, Red Crushed Peppers (a ton) Mrs. Dash Lemon seasoning, and vegetable broth and then steamed some Brussels sprouts! Good spicy healthy dinner!

I am excited to get to some lifting in tomorrow with my current favorite work out Pump and Shred!

Hope to have time to do a bit of Turbo Fire HIIT 15 tomorrow too but we will see! I am one happy, grateful, at peace woman today! Me after my run and yoga tonight!

What I ate Monday! and BTO

Today was a perfect Monday! It went by quick! I had a nice weekend with the boys and March Madness but I have declared Today Tomorrow and Wednesday as BTO. Basketball Time off! This weekend, there was non stop basketball on, and I was ready for some time off from basketball! I have to admit I did sneak away and see Oz the Great and Powerful and was not let down! James Franco in 3D Yes please! :) If you have not seen it yet, go see it in 3D! Trust me!

Breakfast- Vegan Shakeology with almond milk

Lunch- Small Salad (spinach, peppers, sunflower seeds, tomatoes and hard boiled eggs and Red Wine vinegar  and half cup of Soup from Flick!

Afternoon snack was Greek Yogurt with Strawberries! So filling! AND it gave me the power to turn down Mrs Fields cookies, brownies and muffins! Go me Go me Go me!

Workout was straight after work and was yoga and Hard Core Abs! Oh I needed that! My back was KILLING me (or my hip I should say) The stretch was deviously good! I feel 100 times better! Infact I am going to try and do Yoga for my lower back for a couple days in a row to help!

Dinner was Black beans (seasoned with Olive Oil, Cumin, Chili Powder, Corriander and soy sauce) with Brown rice with red peppers and red Onion and a scoop of Greek yogurt and a tiny bit of cheddar cheese!

I also made some Apple Spice Granola (which is pretty darn good)

Push ups until failure ,  41! See you tomorrow!

What I ate Thursday!

Words can't even begin to describe how challenging work is right now for me! And that makes me want to eat eat and EAT! And to make matters worse people bring loads and loads and loads of junk in to "help" us get threw our Fiscal year end! I laugh at the idea! but then it also makes me sad. Grown ups making such childish decisions ... Sugar laced foods don't help you do anything other than increase your belt size and maybe even make you break out! I stick to my apples, peanut butter and most importantly my Shakeology and I feel great by the end of the day! I learned my lesson yesterday with that cupcake!

Breakfast- Want to take a guess... The best way to start your day... Vegan Chocolate Shakeology with Almond milk (my favorite part of my day :)

Lunch- Well I went home for lunch and had a bowl and half of my spicy soup... "hey Trish, Whats in that anyway" oh let me tell you... One Red onion, Three Jalepenos, Four Garlic Cloves, Olive Oil, Cumin, Dark Red Kidney Beans, Frozen Corn and Vegetable Broth... So incredible, especially on day two. If I had a lime I would put a squeeze in there too!

Afternoon Snack Well my VP had brought in two boxes of Dunkin Doughnuts Munchkins but I did not even want one! I had my tiny little apple and some peanut butter!

Dinner was pretty darn awesome! I baked Quorn with some hot sauce and put that in a giant Salad filled with Spinach, broccoli. carrots, onions and red bell peppers! Now I was pretty good all day so I decided a little bit of cheddar cheese! and boy it was a great protein filled dinner after my pretty intense work out!
Work out I looked forward to my work out ALL day! Ugh I was so sore from yesterday and I love that feeling! I mean LOVE that feeling! Hurts so good! So I was feeling in the grove! I came home and did HIIT 25 and then Les Mills Hard Core Abs! It felt great! I also did 38 push ups to failure. Now I counted 40 (which was my goal) but Matthew counted 38... WHAT... So I am thinking I am not going to count in my head anymore. I think I quit when I get to my number and its holding me down. Just need to focus on form and pushing forward! Tomorrow I have to work out in the morning... Not my favorite thing but I am going to a Read thru of a friends play and I am quite excited about it! It is going to take up my entire evening! But being my New Favorite work out Pump and Shred I should not have too hard of time getting up, Right? If you said right, you have NO IDEA how much I value my sleep in the morning! See you in the morning, I will be pushing play... will you?

What I ate Wednesday

So today I had a pretty good day! I was not very good on the food front but I don't care. I had a nice day! I have to note that at my work, for Colon Cancer awareness month, they had two colleagues speak about their experience with colon cancer. One guy was a 27 year old father still battling stage four colon cancer. It Moved me to tears! He really is an incredible person and I am glad I took the time to go support him!

Breakfast Shakeology (healthiest meal of the day!)

Lunch I had a salad the usual (Spinach, Tomatoes, Cucumber  Tofu etc) and White Bean Escarole Vegan Soup. I also had a few bites of my Husbands Green Chili Mac and Cheese

Then the afternoon happened and wow did I go down hill. I had a few bites of Peanut M&Ms Then Work had a "make your own Cup Cake" Social. ANNNNNNNNNNNDDD I had one. I don't even know if it was good or not...

Dinner I had my Healthy Spicy Vegetarian Soup. So warm and spicy! Made with love by my husband!

Work out I did Pump and Shred and let me tell you, I feel like my arms are going to burn for days! I love that work out! I did 36 push ups to failure! Tomorrow I am going for 40! and I am going to eat better tomorrow! I promise, are you?

What I ate Tuesday and more

Well it was a rough couple days for "What I ate For Real"!  I don't want to bore you with the painful details but I had a killer migraine that came out of nowhere on Sunday, about 30 minutes after I finished my 5k race! (I have not had a migraine in 2 plus years so it really threw me for a loop)

But I feel almost 100% better today and was able to track my food and squeeze in a work out :)

Breakfast Vegan Shakeology with one cup, no sugar added ,vanilla almond milk (big surprise) and two cups black coffee!

No Am Snack

Lunch I had a nice salad with Spinach, Tofu, Red and Yellow peppers, Cucumbers, Chickpeas, Carrots, a pinch of Sunflower seeds and Red Wine Vinegar with a 1/2 cup of Vegan Split Pea Soup made by Flik and of course I added some Hot Sauce! Side note, Flik is our CAFE at Olympus and they offer FIT food. Sometimes its is not vegetarian, but today their Split Pea Soup was one of their FIT meals and that means, low sodium, low sugar, low fat etc. Its really nice to have Flik do some of the thinking for me :)

Afternoon Snack Small Apple with Peanut butter

Dinner Pinto Beans with Cumin, Coriander  Smoked Paprika  pinch of Olive Oil, and Low Sodium Soy Sauce with 1/4 cup of Brown rice, a scoop of Plain Greek Yogurt, Spinach and Onions all in a Whole Wheat with Flax Flatout Wrap (Yummy and Filling!)

Workouts Over the weekend I did do Les Mills Hardcore abs and 34 push ups until failure on Saturday, and Sunday I ran The Saint Patricks Day 5k with my work and my Brother and Sister-in-Law (such a fun race). I was planning on doing a Les Mills work out later that day, but that was derailed due to the massive pain inside my noggin! Monday, I took it easy and today I did 33 push ups until failure (I think I did more but my Husband begs to differ) and I did HIIT 20 and Les Mills Hard Core Abs. Feels good to be back on track!

Also please be critical if you are reading this and see something that I may think is healthy and you are like "What is she thinking?!"  I also am always looking for new things to try so keep the suggestions coming! and See you tomorrow!

What I ate Friday and what I can do better tomorrow

Day three of what I ate for real and as usually I had a tough time on Friday! Okay here goes nothing...

Breakfast.... Vegan Chocolate Shakeology and One cup no sugar added Vanilla Almond Milk (as Usual)

No AM snack again :(

Lunch- Whole Wheat English Muffin with Spinach one slice Swiss Cheese and three Morning Star Buffalo  fake chicken with about 1/2 cup of what I am going to call Flick Soup (did not feel so good afterwards)

Afternoon Snack- Fresh Pineapple with cinnamon and less then one serving of  Bear Naked Peek Protein Granola (yummy MY FAVORITE GO TO SNACK WHEN I WANT SOMETHING SWEET) to be honest it taste so good I am not even sure its healthy... any takes on that? How I can make it healthier?

Dinner was WAY LATE!! Quorn baked with Broccoli and part skim Mozzarella  and a ton of Jalapeno Green Chili hot sauce! Not too bad (made by my hubby!) its what I had between work and dinner that kind of stinks... I had a Vegan Brownie! It was sooo good! I was invited to a running store Grand Re Opening party  at The Emmaus Run In and had the brownie! Whoops... it was capital GOOD! But really I did not need it at all! I only ate is cause my step daughter wanted NOTHING to do with it! Whoops

Then I had two glasses of wine (Organic Sulfate Free Wine) One at the Grand opening party and one right now while I am watching Skyfall with my stepson! I am done after this Blog/glass I am dead tired! So no more food No more drinks! I am seriously falling asleep!

Workout- I did Pump and Shred for the first time and let me tell you HUGE difference between Pump and Burn and Pump and Shred! I think this is the month I am REALLY going to see some changes! OMG I hope I can move tomorrow that is about all I am going to say. Oh and even after a FIVE minute chest track I still managed to do 33 push ups to failure tonight! Counted by my stepson and husband!

Needless to say I am pondering what I am going to do tomorrow! I do know I am going to have a beer or two should be intresting knowing i have to confess to it tomorrow night!
